TEMAGAMI SUNSET\nFAR FROM HOME\n<\/strong>\n\nI closed my eyes and saw Temagami \nas though it had been waiting for me, slow\nas its sunsets, patient as the dark sea\nstare of its rubberlipped moose; and the low \nhum of nightfall, bassline to the solo \nof a billion high virtuosic stars. \nHow does this hope thrum in you \u2013 oh, \nand why? It glories in its thousand scars; \nsudden beauty in the blood like cesium, \nits unholy surfacings: I did not\nknow these waters lived in me, dark lesion \nof June lake, ache of chances hope forgot. \nThe dead stars, howls of light resurrected. \nDead love fights for breath when least expected. \n\nSONNENUNTERGANG AM TEMAGAMI, \nFERN VON ZUHAUS\n<\/strong>\n\nIch schloss die Augen und sah den Temagami \nals h\u00e4tte er auf mich gewartet, tr\u00e4ge wie Sonnen \nan ihm sinken, geduldig wie Elche dort mit gummi-\nhaften Lippen, ihr dunkler Meerblick; das Summen \nder D\u00e4mmerung eine Bassline zum Solo \nhochvirtuoser Sterne, unabz\u00e4hlbar, Milliarden. \nWie summt diese Hoffnung in dir \u2013 oh, \nund warum? Sie schwelgt in tausend Narben; \npl\u00f6tzliche Sch\u00f6nheit, die wie C\u00e4sium im Blut \nunheilvoll aufscheint: Ich wusste nicht, dass \ndiese Wasser in mir leben, im See ein dunkler Bruch\nTr\u00e4nen von Chancen, die ich zu tr\u00e4umen verga\u00df. \nDie toten Sterne, heulend, wiedergehn als Licht. \nTote Liebe schnappt nach Luft wie aus dem Nichts. \n\n\n<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
Dieses Gedicht der kanadischen Lyrikerin Eva H.D. schlie\u00dft gleichsam selbst die Augen und taucht in die Atmosph\u00e4re am Temagami, einem immens weitl\u00e4ufigen See in Kanada, um bei diesem Eintauchen funkelnde Sprachkleinode in Form von Bildern, Vergleichen, Metaphern ans Licht zu bef\u00f6rdern, nicht zuletzt die Erinnerung an eine \u201etote Liebe\u201c, die \u201ewie aus dem Nichts\u201c nach Luft schnappt. Als eine solche Meisterin des unerwarteten (Bild-)Moments erweist sich Eva H.D. auch in diesem Gedicht, man wird bei seiner Lekt\u00fcre gleichsam von innen \u00fcberrascht:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
